Garden of Innocence Cremation Urn

Very Moving, and Sad this is Needed, Please Share , and Thanks April for you sharing

Published on Jun 27, 2014
*Update* After posting this video I became aware of a news story bringing to light that Garden of Innocence does claim deceased children that have been left somewhere to be found, however they also claim stillborn children if the parents leave them at the hospital unclaimed. If these infants were to go unclaimed then they would be cremated and buried in a mass grave. While I do still support this organization and feel good about sending off a urn to lay one of these children to rest, I thought it was something that should be public knowledge in case it changes somebody's motivation to be involved. Here is the news story if you would like to read it:http://fox40.com/2013/11/27/garden-of...

Story of the amazing archeology discovery of the Jesus Boat, Part 1

The Jesus Boat
Pegged mortise-and-tenon joints were used to edge-join the hulls planks together and iron nails driven from the outside served to secure the frames to the hull. The boat has a fine bow and a deep site. The hull is constructed primarily of Lebanese cedar planks and oak frames, but ten other wood types have been documented in it. This may indicate a wood shortage in which the boatwright was unable to secure appropriate timber, or
perhaps the boat owner was too poor to afford it.
Wood types

Layout of the ancient boat from above showing the different species of wood used for its construction and repair.

The Story of the Boat
This is the exciting and inspirational story of the discovery, excavation and conservation of the Ancient Galilee Boat, known as the celebrated Jesus Boat. Moshe and Yuval Lufan, brothers and fishermen from Kibbutz Ginosar, discovered the Ancient Galilee Boat buried in the mud near the shore of the Sea of Galilee. The discovery of the boat rocked the archeological and spiritual world. Never before was such an ancient vessel found so complete. Once the boat was positively dated to the First Century BCE, pilgrims from around the world flocked to view the boat on which could have been the very same vessel on which Jesus sailed the Sea of Galilee. The vessel is 9 meters long, 2.5 meters wide and 1.25 meters high. It may have functioned as a ferry boat, but its measurtments also suit those used by ancient fishermen employing a seine, or dragnet, "cast into the sea" as described in Matthew 13:47-48

2014 Summers 2x4 Woodworking contest entry (table saw kickback)

Wanted to Share this Video from Adam , Great lesson learned, but is very common, This does happen, but we can prevent this by Slowing Down, Thinking, and Respecting, Not to say Adam was not trying to be safe, because this happens to the most seasoned woodworker. Adam said he knew he was excited and started in to soon, but this video is a great reminder, Thanks Adam for sharing this, be safe, I was happy to see a lesson learned, without harm, although scary , still way better than getting cut.

Oak CD Rack (+playlist)

This CD Rack was made with an old Oak Bread Display from a retail store in our local area the closed. the wooden fixture was made of Oak. I did ask permission to take the fixture, and it was given to me.

I used Butt Joints because I am not comfortable in cutting Dados yet. The Measurements were bases off the size of the cheap CD racks I got from the Habitat for Humanity Restore, 2 bucks a piece. You could custom build to any size you wanted based on the fixture you get.

My Top 10 Safety Tips for the Table Saw

Their are many other tips that can be observed, but the Number 1 tip to remember with any Power Tool is, (Command Sense) Read instruction Manual , Know your Tool, Respect it, and Think First

1. Never reach over the blade while running, to get stock you are cutting
2. Ear protect
3.Use a Push Stick for cuts , or safety approved Jig
4. Short Sleeves are best, but nothing lose hanging off the body
5. Safety Glasses
6.Do Not Adjust your fence with blade in motion
7. Never Make Free Hand Cuts
8. The Miter Gauge and Fence should not be used together
9.Zero Clearance blade guards, best practice
10. Under Plug Saw before changing

These are all work in progress for me, but again, COMMAND SENSE goes a long way !

The Gun Rack

Want to Share A link to My Gun Rack Video, and Tell you a little more about it.

First, Don't let limitations stop you from woodworking if it's something you want to learn or pick up as a hobby, or just learn a new trade. You can use many different Technics to complete you projects, even with just hand tools. Build your tools, and as you learn and feel comfortable, upgrade again, and before you know it, you with be wondering where to put all your tools. I am not at that point lol, still upgrading. I don't let those limitations hold me back from creating.

This was the first time I Ripped Boards and I was surprised of how well they came out. I should also be setting an example by wearing my Safety Glasses, and Ear Protect, ( Working on That) so You please do. A Zero Clearance Plate should be used as well when cutting this thin.

The Glue Bit was a 2 for 1, Jay Bates and Wood Choppin Time, Both can be found on the side bar in the links, both Great Wood Workers, but Jay started doing fun things waiting for glue to dry in his Project videos, (Steal #1) , the other was for Safety Dan with WCT, Part of the Trash Talk for the Summers Woodworking Contest. I would like All to understand, Chad , Safety Dan and The Wood Choppin Crew are all Great People, Very Skilled in there craft, and it was all in Fun, They have helped me Greatly, and for that, I Appreciate Them.

Hope that clears up any confusion on why the video was made the way it was, and it you have any questions, Please ask. If you have not seen the video, I have left you a link, Thanks and Have a Blessed Day.
